Jeweler’s daughter, Valéria was brought up watching the meticulous work
of the goldsmiths. She began creating pieces for her own use which married
the glamour of gold to the simpleness of silver and were light and simple
in design. From this fusion, she began to create basic pieces with precious
and semi precious stones, to be used at any time of the day, always with a
special touch in the simple harmony of form and shape. Having studied
literature, her creativity comes from her familiarity with the world of
jewellery and the study of art: “I think the subtle expression of aesthetics
I learned to appreciate in literary studies, came to life in the pieces
I conceived as an unfolding of all the forms that I saw and were then caught
by my memory, like a snap-shot. I like to create pieces that people can use
in many ways, pendants that can be adjusted for different kinds of necklaces
to suit different individual styles. Silver is casual and of an unostentatious
elegance, very much like the Brazilian style.
The most precious jewel is the one that carries a magic aura
created by our emotive memory.
